I bought this grill for my family about 5 months ago, and have yet to experience any major issues. Despite a few other reviews, the plates are incredible easy to remove/replace, clean up is a breeze, and the food only burns when we neglect the grill (this rarely ever happens). When we first purchased it, we did have a bit of a learning period, but that was expected. We decided to order the grill because we live on the second floor of a house and can't have an outdoor grill. We do everything we can to eat healthfully and realized how convenient "grilled" food would become with this purchase.
I'm very physically active, and eat A LOT. Despite my healthy appetite, this grill is perfect for myself, my fiance, and our five year old. It fits perfectly on the counter when we cook with it, and stores very easily in the pantry when not in use. We've found it's perfect for bacon, sandwiches, cheese burgers, dinners, and many other foods.
The reason we wouldn't give this grill a 5/5 is because the food doesn't always seem to cook evenly, I have found the non-stick coating has easily chipped off (we don't have a dish washer, so the plates sometimes sit in the sink for a day), and the locks don't seem as secure as I would like when being stored on it's end.
Overall, a great buy. I plan on getting one for my mom so that she doesn't have to go outside during the winter when she wants grilled food.

I just used my grill for the first time last night and Im in love. First off, let me say that I followed the tips from the reviewers and they were so helpful. I preheated it for 10mins, the book says 5mins but I wanted to be sure it was hot enough. The timer, although it has no control over the heating on the grill or turning it off was still helpful and handy. The book said to cook the steak 6-8 mins and I left it at 7mins and it was a nice Medium Well. At 8mins it would be Well Done and and 6 would be Medium Rare. The size of the grill held a large rib eye and can easily accomodate two large chicken breasts and some veggies. This grill is best suited for cooking for 2--3 people and does not take up a lot of counter space. Clean up was a breeze, I didnt even take off the plates. I followed the tip of another reviewer and in the booklet that said to use wet paper towels to place between the plates after it has cooled a bit but is still warm. I left them there for a little over 5 mins and it loosened the left over food and grease and wiped completely clean! The grill itself felt sturdy and had a looked really nice on my counter. I will see how it does over time and use and update if there are any problems. Oh yeah, and my steak was well cooked and delicious!
